Effects of Pakistani TV Dramas on Social Behavior of Women

Abstract

The basic goal of the study named “Effects of Pakistani TV Dramas on Social Behavior of Women in Bahawalpur” is to discover the cultivation effects of social issues/problems based Pakistani TV dramas on women of Bahawalpur. The study used the cultivation theory for analysis and used the survey method for the collection of the data. The researcher collects a sample of 300 women who live in Bahawalpur with different educational backgrounds by using purposive sampling. For the analysis of data, spss (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) is used and the researcher also finds out the mean and standard deviation of the data. The researcher found that Hypothesis 1 is accepted by the research which states that “It is more likely that social issues based dramas have negative impact on women’s behavior”. The researcher found that Hypothesis 2 is accepted by the research which states that “It is more likely that dramas portraying the issues as exactly as they are prevailing in the society”. The researcher found that in the case of Hypothesis 3 is also accepted by the research which is states as “It is more likely that women get more information regarding social issues that are portrayed in the society”. The researcher found that in the case of Hypothesis 4 is also accepted by the research which states as “It is more likely that women believe dramas play important role in the resolution of social issues/problem in the society”. All the research hypothesis H1, H2, H3, and H4 are accepted in this research.
