It also aimed to investigate the effects of gender differences, university and educational systems differences on student’s psychological well-being. It was also important to explore the effects of different university atmospheres on student’s well-being. Through purposive sampling technique, the study used the sample of 502 graduates including 250 (62 male and 63 female) from coeducational institutions i.e., Punjab University and Government Collage University and 250 from segregated educational institutions (63 male and 62 female). The study included the students from the age range from 18 to 24 years. To access these psychosocial variants, the researchers used the scales as; Assessing emotions scale by Schutte et al. (2009), Kaufman creativity scale as K-DOCS, Big-Five Personality Inventory and Mental Health Continuum-Short Form (MHC-SF). The results of the study indicated that emotional intelligence was correlated , psychological well-being and creativity. It also concluded that the students who were studying in Coeducational system were more creative while the students in segregated educational institutions ad higher level of mental health. The results from regression analysis show that psychological well-being is significantly influenced by the student’s level of emotional intelligence. On the other hand university system and gender have combined effects on student’s psychological wellbeing and personality development. These findings suggests that gender, educational system/environment pays vital role in personality, emotional intelligence and mental health of young graduates.
